About Storyboard Delights

 Once Upon A Time…

In 2011, there were two young people (named Julisa and Eric) who, when they got together, began dreaming up a fantastical life together. This life consisted of owning a book shop and café and baking up whatever sweet treats inspired them that day. They thought up what it would be like to have a handful of regulars and be a place where *cue the Cheers theme* everyone would know your name.

However, this dream did not begin to take seed until 2018 when Eric was finding himself devoid of a creative outlet in his analyst job and came across a beautifully covered book about bean-to-bar chocolate making. Thus began the journey towards something completely new and different.

In the meantime, Julisa had stepped away from her acting and comedy career to go back to school for design. Her love of creating visual stories through interior design and set design lead to an additional love for retail design. Little did she know she would be learning to design their own storefront.

By the spring of 2018 Julisa graduated from design school and soon after upon the arrival of their second daughter, Julisa and Eric decided it was time to move away from the busy city of Los Angeles and head back to Julisa’s hometown of Longview, WA.

Once in Longview, there was a blank stare towards the future as to what exactly it was they were going to do next. But by putting one foot in front of the other, the path before them began to unfold. Eric was given the generous use of a commercial kitchen in town for him to continue his chocolate making and while Julisa looked for design jobs in the area. They soon discovered their talents were best paired together and Storyboard Delight began to take flight.
